From Trump, Kaine & Christie to Dixville: Montagne's Role in the 2016 Presidential Campaign
Life of the Party
Driven by a passion to encourage more young professionals to stay, work and play in New Hampshire, our EVP E.J. Powers serves on the board of Stay Work Play which partnered with the New Hampshire Institute of Politics at Saint Anselm College to host the Life of the Party series. In February, E.J. and other Stay Work Play board members put party politics aside for a civil conversation with New Jersey Governor Chris Christie.
The Circus Comes to Town
Every four years the eyes of the world turn to the small
township of Dixville Notch in northern New Hampshire, as they cast the first ballots in the nation at midnight. Since 1960, this tradition has carried on at the 150-year-old Balsams Resort. In
addition to serving as strategic counsel for the planned $140 million restoration of the Balsams, Montagne managed media from across the country and the globe including those from Showtime's The Circus.
Millennials Take Center Stage
Economic issues impacting millennials were the topic of conversation when Democratic vice presidential nominee Sen. Tim Kaine of Virginia visited 3S Artspace in Portsmouth in September. Our very own E.J. Powers served on the panel and engaged Sen. Kaine in a discussion regarding the overwhelming public support for passenger rail expansion and positive economic impact it could deliver to NH. Read the Seacoast Online article.
The Balsams Resort was again in the global media spotlight as satellite trucks and more than 40 reporters descended on
Dixville Notch for the midnight vote. CNN, AP, Fox News, Canadian Broadcasting Corporation, European Pressphoto Agency, London Reuters and Xinhua News Agency in China were among the media in attendance. Montagne credentialed and managed all media, ensuring exposure for our client and the historic vote in top broadcast networks and print publications.
Montagne also managed social updates leading to the Dixville vote trending on Twitter.
Taming Trump's Twitter Habit
